 Coaching is a specific role. It is different from personal development, consulting, training or therapy.

 Therefore the framework, objectives and the means for its practice should be clearly set down in order to define the relationship in a professional context.

 This first formal level serves to position the coach in the specificity of their approach which shapes the role to protect all participants in the coaching relationship.

 The coach’s first undertaking with the client is usually to establish a contract.

This contract will define the coaching objectives and methods. It establishes mutual conditions for success between the coach and coachee, as well as details of the administrative and financial arrangements for their work together.

Coaching is an amazing adventure that gives us the opportunity to learn about ourselves and our relationship with others.

Unlike therapy, coaching does not respond to psychological distress but to the need to understand, to grasp a new situation and restore balance.

The coach is not concerned about your past, but rather how to help you analyze the present, so that you can prepare for the future by having all the tools you need at your disposal.

During the discussions the coach uses several techniques: listening, questioning, confrontation. The coach’s role is to follow in the client’s footsteps to ensure they advance and achieve their full potential. Together, they will set goals and establish action plans.

The different methods used help assist the individual become aware of how they operate and to liberate them from limiting beliefs so that they can develop their own solutions.

A company will often offer coaching to an employee to help them take on new responsibilities.

By creating a unique area of freedom, the client enters into a support process that encourages them to function at maximum capacity in order to raise their performance and achieve their goals.

It affects all levels of the person: the knowledge of oneself and others, communication mechanisms, the organization of thought, the development of technical, ethical and relationship skills, creativity, motivation and how to manage change.

Above all else, the person develops self-confidence and respect for others, as well as allowing the richness of the unconscious spirit to emerge.
